Accessibility

This site is built to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That matters here more than most places: these books are read by, and bought for, neurodiverse and disabled children and the adults who support them.

What we do

• Every control works without a mouse, and focus is always visible.
• A “skip to main content” link is the first thing keyboard users reach.
• Every image carries a real text description — including the book’s interior pages, so the artwork is not lost to a screen-reader user.
• Text and interface colours are contrast-checked by measurement, not by eye. Every pair meets or exceeds 4.5:1 for text and 3:1 for controls.
• Animation is reduced automatically if your system asks for that.
• Page structure uses real headings, landmarks, lists, and tables.

Known gaps

This statement is kept honest. Current known gaps are tracked in the project’s conformance report and will be listed here before launch rather than quietly omitted.
